The world of skincare can be overwhelming. Between hyped ingredients, conflicting reviews, and a seemingly endless sea of serums and cleansers, it’s tough to know where to invest your hard-earned cash.
Enter Allies of Skin, a brand taking the beauty world by storm with its science-backed formulations. But are their products worth the buzz?
I’ve been hearing great things about this brand for some time now and, when I was able to get my hands on some of their products (*AD gifted), I was super excited to see how they worked for me. Yes, they’re expensive, but one thing that I’ve realised with age is that sometimes it’s worth investing in a few key skincare products.
I’ve put four of their hero offerings to the test: Peptides & Antioxidants Firming Daily Treatment, Molecular Saviour Probiotics Treatment Mist, Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser, and Peptides & Omegas Firming Eye Cream. Here’s what I think…
Peptides & Antioxidants Firming Daily Treatment Review
(*AD gifted product)
The Peptides & Antioxidants Firming Daily Treatment boasts a hefty cocktail of peptides, antioxidants, and niacinamide. Peptides are the stars of the show, signalling to your skin to produce collagen, leading to a firmer, more youthful appearance. Antioxidants like vitamin C shield your skin from free radicals, while niacinamide helps minimize pores and brighten your complexion.
This is a powerful treatment, perfect for those with visible signs of aging or sun damage.
For me, this is the product that I enjoyed most of all (starting off strong!). It’s a relatively lightweight moisturizer—somewhere between a gel and a cream—that really does pack a punch. My skin felt smooth and hydrated after the first use and things kept getting better from there.
The elephant in the room, of course, is that this moisturizer is $125. Although the price sounds eye-watering, I would say that it is worth the money you pay thanks to its premium formula and ingredients.
Molecular Saviour Probiotics Treatment Mist Review
(*AD gifted product)
Move over, harsh toners! The Molecular Saviour Probiotics Treatment Mist harnesses the power of probiotics to balance your skin’s microbiome. Think of your microbiome as an ecosystem of good and bad bacteria. Probiotics promote the growth of good bacteria, which in turn, keeps your skin healthy and resilient.
This is a fantastic option for anyone looking to soothe irritation, redness, or breakouts. The lightweight mist is perfect for a mid-day refresh or post-cleanse prep. Plus, it adds a layer of hydration without feeling greasy.
I use this spray straight away after cleansing my skin, it feels nice and refreshing on the skin and I like how it’s packed with those extra ingredients that work hard to look after my skin.
Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser Review
(*AD gifted product)
This Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser uses silk amino acids, which mimic the natural building blocks of your skin, to gently remove impurities without stripping away moisture. It’s fragrance-free and boasts a luxurious, lathering formula.
This cleanser is a winner for all skin types, especially those prone to dryness or sensitivity. It leaves your skin feeling clean, soft, and perfectly prepped for your next skincare steps. It’s a gel-cream texture that doesn’t foam up when applied to the skin, it’s also not the best at removing makeup so it’s most definitely a second cleanse kind of product.
This is a good daily cleanser that I think most people would get along with, does what it says on the tin and leaves your skin feeling great.
Peptides & Omegas Firming Eye Cream Review
(*AD gifted product)
The delicate under-eye area needs special attention, so I’m pretty careful about being consistent with eye cream application. The Peptides & Omegas Firming Eye Cream combines peptides with omega fatty acids to hydrate, firm, and minimize the appearance of dark circles and puffiness.
This eye cream delivers a noticeable difference over time. The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly, making it a great choice for even the most sensitive eyes. However, for those seeking dramatic results for deep wrinkles, a retinol eye cream might be a better option for that extra oomph.
The Final Word: Allies of Skin – Worth the Splurge?
Allies of Skin products are undoubtedly formulated with high-quality, science-backed ingredients.
However, I know that the price could put a lot of people off who want to get quality skincare on a budget.
One thing that I’ve found in my routine is that I’ve noticed great results since cutting down my routine to just 4 products, so I can afford to splash out a bit more on these products rather than buying lots of different items. So, I use this to justify the higher price tags my products now command.
It also depends on your individual skin concerns; for some people, these products will work great, but other people may need something a bit more targeted.
Here’s a breakdown of the products and who they are perfect for:
- For those with fine lines, wrinkles, or sun damage – Try Peptides & Antioxidants Firming Daily Treatment.
- For those with sensitive skin, redness, and breakouts – Try Molecular Saviour Probiotics Treatment Mist.
- For those with dryness and sensitivity – Try Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser.
- For those with concerns about aging around the eyes – Try Peptides & Omegas Firming Eye Cream.
While these products pack a punch, a good skincare routine requires consistency. Remember, even the best products won’t deliver overnight miracles. But, if you’re ready to invest in science-driven skincare with a focus on powerful ingredients, then Allies of Skin might be the perfect ally for your complexion.
