This post is going to be all about 10 of my favourite easy and minimal Halloween makeup looks.
Halloween is one of the best times of the year for dressing up, and although we may not be out celebrating as we would in other years, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t embrace all things spooky.
Your Halloween parties may be happening over Zoom, or with a small group of your friends which might make you not want to put as much effort into your outfit.
I’ve got you covered.
Here are 10 of my favourite easy and minimal Halloween makeup looks that won’t take you long, and don’t require much makeup skill.
If you try these looks you’ll still look the part on the night, but won’t have to spend hours getting ready.
Cobweb Eyeliner
This look is super simple and uses makeup products that you probably already have in your collection.
All you’ll need is warm orange eyeshadow, like the shades you can find in the NYX Warm Neutrals Palette and black liquid eyeliner (I recommend this super affordable drugstore product).
Ray of sunshine
Going for a 70s theme, or just want to go for a bright look this look is perfect. It’s easy but striking.
All you need is some bright red, pink, orange and yellow eyeshadows. To make the eyeshadow brighter, wet your brush before putting it in the eyeshadow, or mix it with a tiny bit of lip balm!
Artistic Lines
Let out your inner artist with this look. This makeup look is based off the super popular but simple line drawings you see all over Instagram.
Crack out your black eyeliner and be creative, draw some lines around your eyes and down your face. Finish off the look with some fake lashes and a generous coat of mascara.
Up in the clouds
This could be a great look to pair with an angel outfit, or by itself for a simple but interesting look.
All you’ll need for this look is some white eyeliner. To make it a little extra, throw on some glitter and highlighter for an ethereal glow.
After the Chocolate Factory
I’ve seen this look all over Tik Tok and I think it’s perfect for Halloween, especially if you and your friends do a whole Charlie and the Chocolate Factory theme.
You don’t even need to worry about the blonde wig with this look, just choose your favourite purple eyeshadow and put it all over your nose
Batman
This is another look that would look great paired with a full batman/woman outfit, but also works great by itself.
All you need is some black eyeliner and yellow eyeshadow to create this perfect look.
If you want to go super simple, you could skip the yellow eyeshadow and just do the liner.
Dripping blood
You can start this look with any eyeshadow look you like. I’d go for a look that incorporates some red eyeshadow, like in this image, so it ties in with the blood.
Then take a dark red shade and draw out the dripping blood underneath your eyes (you could even use some red lipstick) and then for a finishing touch, add some glitter.
You can even buy the glitter sticker online, so you really don’t need any serious makeup skills to create this look yourself.
Naughty or Nice?
Can’t decide whether to be a devil or an angel this Halloween? Why not go as both.
You’ll need some red, blue and yellow eyeshadow to create this look. As well as some black eyeliner to emphasise the horns and possibly the halo too.
Paintbrush illusion
This look is super simple, but looks so fun and interesting.
Use some white face paint to paint your whole face white apart from one side of your face. On this side do your makeup as normal, perhaps experiment with some fun bold eyeshadow.
You can also get a paintbrush as a prop to complete the look for pictures.
Your inner IT
This is an easy character costume that’s instantly recognisable to anyone that’s seen the IT movies.
With this look all you’ll need is some red lipstick, you can also add glitter if you want to make the look a bit more fun (but it will still look great without the glitter)
Let me know in the comments what you’re going to be for Halloween this year!
