The best beauty products under £10, because buying great beauty products shouldn’t cost the earth
Beauty can be a pretty expensive hobby to have. As someone who spends a large amount of money on beauty products, I can personally attest to the truth in this statement. There’s just a constant quantity of new releases and exciting products that I just can’t stop myself from purchasing.
A lot of the time we think we have to spend an arm and a leg to get ourselves the best products, but recently I’ve realised that this really isn’t the case.
When I look at the products I use on a daily basis, a lot of them are super budget-friendly. Now knowing that there are so many great affordable products out there, I find it hard to part with large amounts of money for luxury products when I know I can get a product that’s just as good for a third of the price.
Here are some of my all-time favourite beauty products, that are all under £10
Dove Visible Glow Self-Tan Lotion £7.69
product is somewhat of a family favourite – me, my mum and my sister have all been using this self-tan to give us a perfect bronzed glow for years. I couldn’t even begin to count how many bottles we must have collectively gone through in this time.
If you don’t like fake tanning but still want to have a summer glow, this is the product for you. It’s a gradual tanning lotion that looks like you’ve fake tanned but without all of the usual efforts.
I take a generous amount on my hand and rub it into my skin, I don’t need to be too precise as this never goes patchy. It also dries down pretty quickly so you can put it on right before you jump into bed.
Charles Worthington Healthy Balance Dry Shampoo £5.99
My hair gets very greasy very quickly, so I’m extremely picky when it comes to dry shampoo. A lot of the dry shampoos I’ve used before just don’t get rid of the oil very well. My go-to dry shampoos were always either the Batiste or Klorane dry shampoos, but now we have a new favourite on the block.
I spray this Charles Worthington dry shampoo into my roots in the evening before going to sleep, this way it has all night to soak up all of the excess oil. Come the morning my hair looks as if it’s been freshly washed, and doesn’t even have the usual dry shampoo texture that I hate so much.
When using this I can stretch my hairwashing days out to every 3 days, something I never thought I’d be able to do.
Garden of Wisdom Vitamin C & Ferulic Acid £10
For any readers of my blog, this product needs no introduction as I’ve already done a whole post dedicated to my love of it. Garden of Wisdom is a seriously great budget brand that you can get from Victoria Health.
Their products have a price point slightly higher than the likes of The Ordinary and The Inkey List but do fall comfortably in the budget category with most of their serums in and around the £10 mark.
Their Vitamin C is the only budget Vitamin C that I’ve ever enjoyed using, it’s thin and light on the skin – without any of the usual grittiness budget Vitamin C’s normally have.
It works nicely with other beauty products and, most importantly, really helped with improving the brightness of my skin.
Beauty Pie QI Energy Sleep Mask £8.76
Another budget favourite that I wrote a whole blog post on is the Beauty Pie QI Sleep Mask.
This mask is an overnight hero packed with hydrating ingredients to give you moisturised and glowing skin.
I use this about once a week and adore the way it makes my skin feel – super soft and smooth.
It’s not too thick and creamy so it sinks right into the skin so doesn’t just get all over your pillow as soon as you get into bed, it’s amazing. If you have dry skin, you need this.Shop now
Superdrug Simply Pure Hydrating Serum £2.99
I had to do a double-take with this when I first looked at the price – £2.99!! I saw a few people mention this and because it’s a Superdrug own brand I knew that it was going to be affordable, but not under £3.
The price is even more surprising considering just how great the product inside is. Ingredients include Glycerin and Ceramides that both help to improve your skin’s hydration and keep it soft and radiant.
This is a nice light serum that sinks in straight away without feeling sticky and makes my skin feel instantly softer, it’s great for sensitive skin and it’s also fragrance-free – an absolute winner.
I don’t know how this isn’t constantly out of stock, but then I’m also hoping that people don’t catch on, otherwise it will be The Ordinary situation all over again.
The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid £5.99
If you have dry skin and are looking for a hyaluronic acid that will hydrate your skin without feeling heavy, this is the one for you. I love every single The Inkey List product I’ve tried, but this is by far my favourite.
This serum is super light and sinks into the skin almost instantly, making my skin look like I’ve just had 8 glasses of water. It’s the best HA that I’ve used so far, which is great because it’s also one of the most affordable.
