My favourite makeup products from elf cosmetics

This post may contain affiliate links, which means I receive a small commission if you make a purchase (at no cost to you!)

Which makeup products from ELF are the best for people on a budget? My reviews of my favourite items from ELF cosmetics that all cost under ยฃ10 from the drugstore.

The best elf makeup products

Drugstore makeup brands can be easily ignored as cheap and low-quality and although it may be true for some products, on the whole, Iโ€™m constantly impressed by drugstore beauty.

In fact, the majority of my daily makeup routine consists of drugstore makeup items.

The drugstore brand that I use the most, you ask? ELF cosmetics.

Today Iโ€™m going to be reviewing some of my favourite makeup products from elf cosmetics.

Iโ€™ll be talking you through all of the best products that I find myself reaching for every day and are fantastic dupes for luxury, high-end products.

If you want to find out what my favourite makeup products from elf cosmetics are, keep on reading!

About ELF

ELF is a staple brand in drugstores worldwide, theyโ€™re known for extremely low-priced products that are super on-trend. I often see their products going viral on social media, most recently Iโ€™ve seen the Poreless Priming Putty and Camo Concealer all over Tik Tok.

Is ELF cosmetics makeup vegan? Yesโ€”it is! According to their website, all of their products are 100% vegan and cruelty-free worldwide.

Their makeup is super affordable, with almost every single item costing less than ยฃ10.

Their skincare line costs a little more, but still mostly falls under ยฃ20.

I remember using ELF when I was in my early teens, when their products were cheap but nothing special.

Over the past couple of years Iโ€™ve rediscovered the brand and their products have improved so much.

So much so that it was hard to pick out my absolute favourites, but finally I was able to narrow it down to 7 products!

Flawless Finish Foundation

Foundation is usually the only type of drugstore product that I struggle with. Drugstore brands donโ€™t normally have a super wide shade range which can make it hard to find the exact match for your skin tone, whether youโ€™re looking for a liquid or powder foundation.

Not only does the ELF Flawless Finish Foundation have a variety of shades to suit most skin tones, but they also have a good mix of undertones to choose from. I have Shell which is a fair-light shade with golden undertones.

This foundation is the perfect medium-coverage that offers a flawless natural finish that makes it perfect for everyday wear.

The finish isnโ€™t dewy or greasy so even if you have oily skin I think youโ€™d get along well with this product.

For me itโ€™s perfect, it covers all of my imperfections without looking heavy or cakey and lasts perfectly all day long.

Itโ€™s quickly become one of my favourite foundations, which is amazing considering it only costs ยฃ7.50.

Hydrating Camo Concealer

Youโ€™ve probably heard about this concealer before as I constantly see people all over Instagram and TikTok sharing their love for it.

Ever since I tried it for myself I can totally see whyโ€”itโ€™s amazing.

Normally if you want a full coverage concealer you have to deal with it being slightly drying or heavy under the eyes, with this concealer you donโ€™t get that at all.

It perfectly covers up my under eye circles and any blemishes with ease and doesnโ€™t look dry or matte at all. It looks completely natural and feels hydrating under the eyes.

I use the shade Light Ivory, which is a few shades lighter than my foundation so it really helps to brighten up my dark circles and makes me look super awake.

Instant Lift Brow Pencil

Iโ€™m just going to go straight in and say it, I think this is my favourite of all the brow pencils Iโ€™ve ever used.

Itโ€™s also the cheapest by far at only ยฃ3.

This double-ended product comes with a spoolie on one side and a super creamy pencil on the other.

The pencil is incredibly easy to use, you only need the smallest amount of pressure and you get just the right amount of pigmentation to fill in your brows.

It glides on so easily to easily get my brows into the right shape, and can also be blended out with the spoolie if you go in a bit too heavy-handed.

This pencil is SO much better than all of the high-end brow products that Iโ€™ve tried. I think Iโ€™ve found my holy grail eyebrow pencil!

WOW Brow Gel

I think itโ€™s clear that elf do some really good brow products, not only is the brow pencil my favourite but so is their WOW brow gel.

I used to think that the only brow gel worth the money was Boy Brow, whereas now I have discovered a number of cheaper drugstore products that are just as goodโ€”if not better.

The WOW Brow Gel follows the same principles as Boy Brow, itโ€™s a tinted brow gel with added fibres to make your eyebrows look as big and bushy as possible.

This really makes my eyebrows look super fluffy and bold.

I can also quickly do this in a rush without having to worry about getting gel everywhere.

Itโ€™s the easiest thing to use when youโ€™re doing your makeup in a rush.

No Budge Shadow Stick

The shadow sticks from elf have been a long-time favourite of mine, they even made their way into my top drugstore eyeshadow stick post from last year.

These creamy and easy-to-blend sticks are the best products for people who want a quick and simple makeup routine that still looks like they put some effort into it.

All you need is a few swipes of this across your lids, blended out with a brush (or just your fingers) and youโ€™ve got the perfect wash of colour.

The no-budge shadow sticks in particular are really smooth so they donโ€™t crease or look dry on your eyes.

Theyโ€™re also easy to layer so that youโ€™re able to mix different colours for a more intricate eye look if youโ€™ve got a few extra seconds to spare!

Bite-Size Eyeshadows

When I first got one of the elf eyeshadow quads I didnโ€™t have super high expectations. How good can ยฃ4 eyeshadows be?

Wow was I wrong.

For the ยฃ4 you pay, you get 4 beautifully creamy and pigmented eyeshadows. I have the Quad in Pumpkin Pie which contains 4 of the most perfect warm-toned browns; 2 of which are shimmers and 2 matte.

Itโ€™s the perfect on-the-go palette that has everything you need for your everyday eyeshadow. I normally do a mix of one of the shimmer shades on my lid and one of the matte shades blended into my crease.

These quads come in a range of colours, whether youโ€™re into neturals or want to experiment with fun colours like green and purpleโ€”thereโ€™s a quad for everyone.

If I was to get another quad, I would definitely get the Carnival Candy paletteโ€”just take a look at the gorgeous blue shade when itโ€™s swatched, how could you pass that up!

Sheer Slick Lipstick

Does anyone still wear Matte lipsticks?

I spent most of the past 2 years trying to keep up with the trend and convince myself that I liked a matte lip look. Now I am all about the hydrating lipsticks, the closer it is to a lipbalm, the better.

These Sheer Slick Lipsticks have been one of my favourite hydrating lip products that Iโ€™ve found.

Theyโ€™re intensely hydrating and comfortable on the lips but still provide a punch of pigment to make it clear that you have something on your lips.

They fade away nicely throughout the day so you donโ€™t have to worry about wiping them off or them making your lips look horribly dry.

Elf is awesome! I love that they have such affordable formulas. I have heard such great things about their concealer and bite sized shadows. Did you see the new mint one they came out with? It looks so cute! I need to try the sheer lipsticks.
