I’m kind of a one-trick pony when it comes to blush. All it would take is one quick look through some of my old blog posts to find that almost all of the blushes I own look exactly the same.
My collection is basically just 50 shades of mid-toned pinks.
With the sun being out and Spring feeling like it’s in full swing, I’ve been a bit more inspired to branch out of my comfort zone and experiment with new shades.
Why I love peach blushes for pale skin
This has led me to find the perfect shade of blush, especially for paler-skinned folk like me—peach.
Now, this isn’t exactly breaking news. Peach-toned blushes have long been a spring/summer staple, I don’t really know why it took me so long to jump aboard the bandwagon, but now I fully appreciate the shade. Peach blushes are universally flattering but look exceptionally good on paler skin tones as they bring warmth to the face
that couldn’t be achieved with any other color. It’s the cherry on top to finish off any bronzed, glowing complexion.
I think what put me off these kinds of shades for so long was the worry that they would lean too far toward orange territory and make me look a bit silly – but I put my hands up to say that I was completely wrong.
How To Choose The Best Blush Color For Fair Skin Tones
Choosing the perfect blush shade for fair skin tones can elevate your makeup look, imparting a healthy flush without overpowering your complexion. When selecting a blush, consider undertones and intensity to complement your fair skin beautifully.
Peach blushes are an excellent option for fair skin tones for several reasons. Firstly, peach tones have a warm undertone that adds a natural radiance to fair complexions without appearing too harsh or overpowering. This subtle warmth enhances the skin’s natural glow, creating a fresh and youthful appearance.
Additionally, peach blushes blend seamlessly with fair skin tones, offering a soft and natural flush that mimics a healthy, sun-kissed glow. The softness of peach tones helps to brighten the complexion, giving fair skin a luminous and refreshed look. Whether you have warm undertones, yellow undertones, or pink undertones, peach is the right shade of blush if you have a paler complexion.
The Best Blush Shades for Fair and Pale Skin Tones
Finding a peach blush that looks great on fair skin tones is probably not as easy as you’d thought it would be. You need a shade that isn’t too dark, not too orangey, and not too bright that it will make you look like a clown. Here are some of my favorite peachy blushes that will look great on light skin tones.
Beauty Pie Supercheek Cream Blush in Fresh Faced
I’m starting to feel like my blog has just become a fan page for Beauty Pie, but I can’t help it – their products are just so good and this blush isn’t an exception.
The Supercheek Cream Blush in Fresh Faced is a gorgeous warm peach shade.
Because it is super warm it is the perfect accompaniment to a super bronzed makeup look, the shade seamlessly blends into your bronzer to create this really natural-looking warmth, the ultimate ‘I’ve just come back from holiday’ glow.
I really love the Supercheek formula in general, a little goes a long way, it’s creamy without being too dewy, and they have a small but mighty range of shades that I’m convinced would look good on just about any skin tone out there from deeper skin tones to olive skin tones.
Glossier Cloud Paint in Beam
Beam is described as a ‘soft peach’, I would also say that it leans towards being coral/pink which makes it more within my comfort zone. It finds itself in between something like Beauty Pie’s Peachy Dreams, and the shades that I would normally find myself wearing.
It is quite a bit brighter than Peachy Dreams, it doesn’t give that same natural warm look. It’s more of an obvious pop of color on the cheeks.
This gel-like formula is also perfect for warm days in the sun as you don’t have to worry about it becoming cakey or patchy in the heat – so it’s a win-win.
The cloud paints also don’t cling to dry patches or settle into fine lines, it creates a blurred effect so they are incredible even for the most minimal makeup looks.
Benefit WANDERful World Silky-Soft Powder Blush in Peachin’
The Benefit Blushers are a great powder formula blush that I have always found myself gravitating towards. They have shades that suit everyone from those with olive undertones, darker skin tones, and cool skin tone options too.
The shade Peachin’ is the right color if you have pale skin and want a warm blush shade to give a bit of radiance to your skin. The shade is quite light, which makes it perfect for when you want a more natural look or a no makeup makeup look. It also has a hint of shimmer that really gives your skin a glow in the best way possible.
Nudestix Nudies Cream Blush All-Over-Face Color in Nude Peach
These Nudestix blushes often feature in my blush top picks for a good reason. It’s a buildable formula that gives a healthy glow to your cheeks and comes with a range of neutral and vibrant shades that will fit all different skin tones – ranging from the perfect peach hues for fair skin to dark mauve shades for deep skin tones.
The shade that I want to talk about today is Nude Peach, a nice warm peachy shade that looks so great on paler skin. I think it may be a bit too light for people with dark skin tones but it gives the perfect amount of warmth and glow to fair skin. Just apply to the apples of your cheeks with your fingers or a brush and they blend out like a dream.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Captivating
Next, we have the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in the shade Captivating. This is the right blush color for you if you want something a little bit brighter than your average peachy shade and rosy pinks, but don’t want a totally dramatic look.
I’ve seen so many makeup artists use this blush on celebrities with pale skin and it always looks so good in the makeup routine. They also have loads of other blush colors to check out, depending on whether you want a cool tone blush, warm mauve, or brighter coral shades, Tarte’s got you covered.
Tower 28 BeachPlease Lip+Cheek Cream Blush in Rush Hour
Finally, we’ve got another cult favorite of mine, the Tower 28 BeachPlease Lip+Cheek Cream Blush in Rush Hour. I feel like I am constantly talking about every makeup product Tower 28, but that’s just because they never seem to miss.
I think Rush Hour may be the best blush shade they do, it’s got that sun-kissed warmth that really brightens up pale complexions and brings a bit of life to the skin, but it also has a nice pop of color that gives you that fresh-faced look. The formula is super creamy and glowy, you can easily apply it with your fingers in a rush and you know it’s always going to look good.
