Looking for the best Sephora skincare? I’ve got you covered.
There are so many great places to shop for beauty products. Whether it’s through niche online websites or stand-alone brand stores, but nothing quite compares to Sephora.
I’ve always loved shopping for beauty in person; getting to swatch products, feel textures and find the right color matches. However, beauty shopping had always felt a bit underwhelming until I visited my first Sephora store.
It sounds like an exaggeration, but I love everything about Sephora. The range of brands at this beauty retailer is unmatched. I can get everything I need for my beauty routine in one place, and I always take time to look through the mini products before heading to the register.
Most of my skincare routine comes from Sephora, so if you’re starting from scratch and buying new products from Sephora for the first time, here are all of the Sephora skincare must-haves that I would recommend to anyone, regardless of your skin type.
Then I Met You Living Cleansing Balm
Starting from the top, it’s important to have a good balm cleanser for makeup removal. Anything oil-based is perfect for removing every last bit of makeup from your face, but I particularly love the Then I Met You Living Cleansing Balm. It feels luxurious and makes light work of even the toughest makeup.
Youth To The People Superfood Gentle Antioxidant Cleanser
To finish off the double cleanse, pick a water-based face wash to cleanse the skin. There are plenty of gentle cleansers at Sephora, but you can’t go wrong with the Youth To The People Superfood Gentle Antioxidant Cleanser. It’s a no-fuss product that foams up, removes everything from the skin and leaves it feeling fresh and hydrated – what more could you want?
Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray with Hypochlorous Acid
As someone with acne-prone and sensitive skin, I will do almost anything to keep my skin happy and blemish-free. I saw a lot of people talking about the Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray with Hypochlorous Acid on social media for its skin-healing properties, and I was interested. The key ingredient here is hypochlorous acid, an acid naturally produced by the body that possesses antibacterial properties. The idea is to spray this on your face AM and PM to kill germs and soothe irritation. Luckily, it works!
LANEIGE Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer with Ceramides and Peptides
If your skin leans more on the dry side, you may want to use a hydrating toner to lock in moisture. In that case, I’d recommend the LANEIGE Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer. It’s a milky toner that I squeeze into my hands and tap onto my skin, making it feel instantly smooth and hydrated. It makes a significant difference, especially in the colder months, when my skin can start to feel dry and tight.
OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright+ Vitamin C Eye Crème for Dark Circles
I’m still not 100% sold on the eye cream debate; is it really necessary? Nevertheless, I still use it to give an extra boost of hydration to my dry under eyes. I really like the OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright+ Vitamin C Eye Crème for Dark Circles, as it brightens and soothes. Don’t expect any product to get rid of your dark circles; get more sleep and invest in a good concealer instead.
Dieux Instant Angel Lipid & Peptide-Rich Moisturizer + Barrier Repair
When it comes to moisturizer, I am completely over formulas with all the bells and whistles; I want something that works. The Dieux Instant Angel does exactly that; it’s not super fancy, but it does the job so well. I’ve been through a few tubes of this already, and it’s an easy product to recommend to pretty much everyone.
Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer
Tower 28 has really doubled down on their SOS range, and it’s great for people who have sensitive skin, as the ingredients are gentle yet effective. The SOS Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer is a great product that soothes and hydrates my skin. Like the Dieux moisturizer, it just works and I have no complaints at all about it.
Caudalie Pore Minimizing Instant Detox Mask
I don’t believe that a face mask is an essential product in any routine; it’s more of a skincare industry trend, but I will pull one out on occasion when I’m having a proper evening of self-care. When I want to apply a mask, I’ll reach for the Caudalie Pore Minimizing Instant Detox Mask. It contains pink clay, coffee extract and papaya enzymes to absorb excess oils, purify the skin and boost cell renewal. Unlike other masks, it does feel like it’s doing something. But, I will say that if you use alpha hydroxy acids on a regular basis instead, you’ll see the same results much faster.
Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Dark Spot Serum
Another Cadualie product which you’ve probably already heard about is the Vinoperfect Brightening Dark Spot Serum. If you have dark spots and pigmentation, this is an excellent product for you. It’s a good alternative to vitamin C and retinol products if your skin can’t handle such intense ingredients. The key to this product is consistency; you’ll need to use it for some time before you see results. If you stick to it, it’ll be worth it.
MERIT Great Skin Instant Glow Serum with Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid
If pigmentation isn’t your concern, you can’t go wrong with a glowy serum like the MERIT Great Skin Instant Glow Serum. It contains niacinamide and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump the skin quickly. This is an excellent product for use underneath makeup, as it visibly improves your skin’s appearance and creates a nice canvas for the rest of your makeup to be applied on top.
Ultra Violette Supreme Screen SPF 50 Facial Sunscreen Moisturizer and Primer
If you don’t have a good sunscreen in your routine, there’s not much of an excuse anymore. SPF has matured, and you can get so many incredible sunscreens that feel comfortable on the skin without leaving a white cast. I highly recommend the Ultra Violette Supreme Screen SPF 50 (as well as all the other Ultra Violette sunscreens) because it feels luxurious on the skin, hydrates, and leaves a nice finish that works well under makeup.
LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Intense Hydration with Vitamin C
Finally, we can’t forget about the lips! I use so many different lip balms throughout the day that it would be difficult to include them all in this article, so we’ll stick with the lip mask that I use every night before going to bed: the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask. This product is TikTok famous, and for good reason – it’s great. It’s hydrating without being sticky and leaves my lips feeling extra smooth in the morning.
Whether you’re a Drunk Elephant or Caudalie fan, you can get all the skincare you want at Sephora. What are your Sephora skincare must-haves?
