Today I’m rounding up some of my favourite drugstore dupes for Glossier products which will be perfect if you’re looking to save some money, or just want to distance yourself from the brand.
Glossier is known for their pretty aesthetics and minimal packaging – which I’m sure we all come across all too frequently while scrolling through social media.
But recently they’ve been at the forefront of a lot of backlash, which has made a lot of us start to look for dupes for our favourite Glossier products.
The good thing about Glossier’s products is that they’re relatively simple – there’s nothing that’s super unique and innovative about them, so it’s easy to find product dupes – even at the drugstore.
Makeup
Cloud Paints
If you like Glossier’s Cloud Paints, I would HIGHLY recommend the MUA Blushed Liquid Cream Blushes.
The Cloud Paints are by far my favourite Glossier products, they are everything that you could want in a cream blush – pigmented, easy to blend and lightweight. The MUA Cream Blushes are no different.
The main difference between the 2 products is that the MUA blush is slightly thinner and less pigmented. This is great because it gives a nice subtle flush to the cheeks that can easily be built up.
MUA’s shade range is very obviously inspired by the Glossier blushes, you have a dupe for basically every shade. In particular, the shade Taupe Tango is an almost exact dupe for Glossier’s shade Dusk.
These blushes are super affordable at only £2.50 each – you could get all of the 5 shades for less than the price of 1 Cloud Paint.
Generation G Lipsticks
The Generation G lipsticks were among the biggest disappointments of Glossier’s beauty range for me. I’m not the biggest matte lipstick fan in the first place, but I found these uncomfortable and way too drying on the lips for me.
The peripera Ink Air Velvet Sticks are everything that I wanted the Generation G lipsticks to be… and more.
These lipsticks are, hands down, the most smooth and comfortable matte lipsticks I’ve ever worn.
I have the shades Daily Rose and Cinnamon Chai Tea, and I have my eyes on so many of the other shades.
Haloscope
Haloscope was the first highlighter that made me realise my love for cream highlighting products before I was totally a powder highlight girl.
I loved how dewy and balmy it was, giving me the most perfect natural glow.
I’ve tried quite a few cream highlighters since using Haloscope and couldn’t find anything that gave me the same dewy glow… until the Beauty Pie Triple Beauty Luminizing Wand.
This highlighter is super glowy without being glittery so your skin gets the most beautiful luminosity. It’s seriously pretty, and a far more affordable alternative to Haloscope.
Boy Brow
Boy Brow really started something with brows, I feel like it was one of the first tinted brow gels that made people become more minimal when it came to their brow routines.
Before I thought that nothing would compare to Boy Brow, but as always the drugstore catches up and now there are plenty of similar products for smaller prices.
One of my favourites is the ELF Wow-Brow. It’s extremely similar to Boy Brow as it has small fibres within the gel that helps to fill out your brows and make them look super thick.
I also like that unlike some brow gels, this isn’t very liquidy, it doesn’t feel dry but it feels slightly more solid which helps to keep your brows in place far better. Even if you have naturally thick brows like me that never seem to want to stay in place.
Brow Flick
The final makeup product from Glossier that I have a great drugstore dupe for is their Brow Flick, a relatively new brow product that looks like a liquid eyeliner – but is for your eyebrows.
This was slightly harder to find a dupe for as there aren’t too many brow liners, but I found a great one from Rimmel.
Their Brow Pro Micro 24HR Precision-Stroke Pen.
This product is great for drawing on individual brow hairs, it gives you a lot more control over how your brows look. It also allows you to keep your brows looking natural and bushy without having to fully fill them in.
Skincare
Moisturising Moon Mask
The Moisturising Moon Mask is a really great moisturising mask that leaves your skin hydrated and glowing after the first use, but there are plenty of similar masks out there. One of my favourites being No7’s Hydrating Mask.
The mask is slightly more creamy in texture compared to the Moon Mask’s gel/cream hybrid consistency, but it does the exact same amount of hydration. It’s also a lot easier to remove.
Milky Jelly Cleanser
The Milky Jelly Cleanser may be one of my favourite skincare products from Glossier, but I think I may prefer The Ordinary’s Squalane Cleanser. They are both gel formulas, the difference is that The Ordinary’s cleanser turns into an oil once massaged into the skin.
I find the Squalane cleanser is slightly thicker which makes it seem much more luxurious on the skin. I also feel like it cleans the skin better, the Milky Jelly Cleanser is really a second-step cleanse whereas you could easily use the Squalane Cleanser as your first step.
Although these 2 products are quite similar when it comes to price and the amount of product you get, The Ordinary’s cleanser is still a great alternative for removing any makeup, including powder foundation or stubborn waterproof mascara.
Super Pure Serum
The main ingredients in Glossier’s Super Pure Serum are Niacinimde and Zinc.
Sound similar?
An obvious dupe is, of course, The Ordinary’s Niacinamide and Zinc serum. The only issue is that this product is ridiculously hard to get your hands on because it’s so popular.
Another affordable dupe is the Niacinamide and Zinc Booster from Me+ which you can find in Superdrug. It’s only £5.99 and has a super lightweight texture that quickly absorbs into the skin without feeling sticky or pilling with other products.
Super Bounce Serum
I don’t know about you, but Hyaluronic Acid has become an absolute staple in my everyday skincare routine.
If you also have dry skin, you really need to start using a good hydrating Hyaluronic Acid serum, believe me, your skin will change for the better.
Hyaluronic Acid serums are something that I really don’t think you need to spend a lot of money on, there are so many great options. This is why I don’t think you need Glossier’s £24 Super Bounce serum.
Instead, go for The Inkey List’s Hyaluronic Acid serum, it’s only £5.99 and it’s one of the best I’ve found. It’s seriously lightweight so it would easily work for all skin types, even if you’re oily.
Priming Moisturiser
We’re onto the final product in this roundup all about my favourite drugstore dupes for Glossier products.
And we’re finishing with one of my all-time favourite products, and dupes!
The priming moisturiser was one of Glossier’s first products, and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to try it as it sounded similar to my favourite moisturiser – the Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre.
And let me tell you, the Embryolisse cream is so much better.
It’s richer and more moisturising, it feels much more like a makeup primer and leaves my skin feeling extremely soft and smooth so that my makeup always applies flawlessly on top of it.
There really is no comparison. You need to try Lait-Creme Concentre!
What are your favourite Glossier dupes? Have you tried any of these products?
