Today we’re talking about one of my all-time favourite French pharmacy skincare products, here’s my Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm Review.
They say that the more lip balm you use, the more your lips need it.
Now although I can’t personally testify as to whether that is scientifically true, or if lip balms are actually bad for your lips, I can say that the more I use the Nuxe Rêve de Miel the more the obsession grows.
Being, by far, the most expensive lip balm I own at a steep £10, this is by no means your average run-of-the-mill product.
What the Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm claims to do
A concentrate of beneficial properties, this repairing lip balm combines honey, botanical oils and propolis, a rare and precious bee hive ingredient to immediately soothe, provide intense nourishment and repair your very dry and damaged lips. The melting texture and grapefruit scent make it a must-have to take everywhere you go.

Description
Nuxe Reve de Miel is a thick and rich balm that promises super hydrated lips to anyone who uses it.
It’s an almost matte finish that instantly gets to work on even the driest of lips.
Although it’s very thick, a lot thicker than any other lip balm I’ve tried, it sinks in very quickly and doesn’t feel sticky whatsoever. It also lasts for ages, even after using it overnight I can still feel it on my lips in the morning.
Ingredients
Primary natural ingredients: honey, Propolis Oléoactif®, precious botanical oils (sweet almond and musk rose), shea butter and beeswax.
The full ingredients list can be found on the Nuxe website.
Price and availability
The Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm retails for £11 for 15ml of product, which is definitely more than your standard drugstore lip balm which you can pick up for under £5.
But this isn’t a normal lip balm, it’s intensely hydrating and one of the few products that really protects and nourishes dry lips, so I do definitely think it’s worth the extra money.
You can find it online on websites like Walmart, Escentual and Feel Unique but you can also get it in-store at places like Boots (or anywhere else that sells French pharmacy brands).
Packaging
The lip balm is housed in a glass jar which I’m not normally a fan of.
I’d much rather have the lip balm in a tube so that it’s easier to carry around and doesn’t require me to dip my finger in it.
For this reason it’s not the kind of product I take out with me, it stays at home for use in my morning and evening skincare routines. Jars like this are really not the most hygienic things to be taking around with you throughout the day.
Final review
Everything about this lip balm oozes luxury, in a way that I wouldn’t have even thought possible for such a basic product.
As I’m about to crack into my 4th pot of the stuff, I can definitely say that this is something that I couldn’t live without.
The thick texture means that it forms a protective layer over your lips when applied. It also delivers intense hydration without feeling uncomfortable or sticky.
It also works as a great sleeping mask for your lips so that they’re prepped for the next morning.
I’ve even heard people that have used it on their cuticles and other dry patches when needed. This product can do it all.
