Glossier has a lot of products, but not all of them are worth your money. Here’s what to buy in your first Glossier order.
By this point, I’m sure that if you’re even remotely interested in the world of beauty, you’ve placed an order with the cult-favourite beauty brand, Glossier.
Their sleek packaging, no fuss formulas and consumer-focussed outlook has catapulted the brand to become a staple in many of our daily beauty routines.
Since the brand launched in the UK back in 2017, I’ve been able to try out a lot of their makeup and skincare products so I have a pretty good idea of which products are worth it and which aren’t.
If you’re thinking about making your first order with Glossier, or just want to try out more of their products, here are my picks of the bunch.
All of these products are must-haves in my collection and really are worth the money.
What to buy in your first Glossier order
Glossier Stretch Concealer
I wasn’t a huge fan of their Perfecting Skin Tint, which I found gave me barely any coverage whatsoever. But the Stretch Concealer is the perfect lightweight product that doesn’t compromise on coverage.
It’s creamy, sinks into the skin like an absolute dream and doesn’t look cakey or settle in any lines or dry patches.
The finish is dewy and natural, so be prepared to need some powder on top just to make sure it stays in place all day.
This isn’t super high coverage, so on days when I have particularly dark under-eye circles, I will go in with a colour corrector before using this.
But on a daily basis, this is definitely enough coverage for the under eyes and also concealing blemishes and redness.
Haloscope
Before using Haloscope I was a powder highlight-only kind of person. I didn’t think I could get the same finish with a cream highlight, until this product changed the game.
What’s special about this highlighter is that it’s a clear dewy balm that runs through the product so you get the shimmery highlight paired with an ultra-glossy, glass-skin look.
I use the shade Quartz which is a great champagne shade for my skin tone, but they have a few other colours so you’re able to find your match too.
All you need is a small bit of the product blended into the high points of your cheekbones and you will have the most effortless glow that doesn’t emphasise pores and skin texture at all—it’s the perfect highlighter.
Boy Brow
I think that Boy Brow is the Glossier product that I hear the most hype about—and for good reason.
Boy Brow makes my eyebrows look so much bushier than they ever were before, perfect for the days when I want to go more minimal with my makeup.
All you have to do is brush this through your brows and it looks like you actually took the time to fill in your eyebrows, it’s one of my favourite lazy beauty hacks.
Milky Jelly Cleanser
The Milky Jelly Cleanser has long been one of my favourite cleansing products.
The texture is by far my favourite out of all the products I’ve used, a beautiful mix between a cleansing cream and a gel—you get the hydrating nature of a cream, with the refreshing gel which makes it great for all skin types.
Milky Jelly Cleanser is water-based so isn’t the best as a first step makeup remover. But it makes for the perfect second-cleanse. It will leave your skin feeling super clean, without feeling stripped.
Balm Dot Com
The Balm Dot Com is a multi-tasking balm that does wonders for my chapped lips. It’s an affordable product that I always find myself adding into my Glossier basket when I’m making an order.
Seriously, I have about 4 of them all in different scents/flavours.
My favourite is definitely the original, closely followed by the Rose flavour.
If you’re looking for a heavy-duty lip balm that will make your lips feel smooth and hydrated, even in the dead of Winter, this is for you.
Cloud paint
Now, I’m saving the best until last. The Cloud paints are probably my favourite cream blushes of all time.
The range of colours is amazing, all of which work great on all skin tones.
Plus they’re pigmented, easy to blend and last all day.
What sets them apart from other cream blushes, for me, is the way they apply to the skin. You only need a small amount to get a really good colour payoff. If you want more colour, it can also be easily built-up.
This product creates an almost blurring effect on the skin, it doesn’t settle or build up like other liquid blushes—it just makes my skin look amazing.
If you buy one thing from Glossier, please let it be one of the Cloud paints.
